Cutting Machine!

Yesterday I spent the first part of my morning finishing sewing the strips together for Sherry Sometimes Blanket. Then I went to work cutting those strips into the correct measurements. Now I have tiny mountains of pieces all over my sewing desk and I have a few more strips to cut. It shouldn't be that long until I am all set to start sewing units! I just love that I get to say Units all the time.
I hope to get to the point where I am sewing blocks today but I'm not 100% sure that I will get that far. It might take me a while to sew all the pieces together. *Fingers Crossed*
I would also like to do some work on my Juggernaut Quilt! (Its for my cat, Jasper, who also answers to Juggers, Juggernaut, Jassy-Jas, House Leopard and a few other names). Its going to go into the "Man room" which is LB's answer to my craft room. Really not a lot happens in there. I don't think LB goes in there very often. But Jasper LOVES to sleep up there on the futon. The 3rd floor gets super warm here so he goes up there at night or during the day for his siestas!
I found the pattern on Pinterest and its one from Moda Bake Shop. And my awesome sister The Purple Quiltapotamus sent me some scraps and a charm pack! Which made me even more excited to get started on that one. I'm also trying to be super patient and wait for my new rulers from Busy Bee Inc's Etsy Shop. It may kill me to wait! I'm hoping that they get here soon. I ordered the circle ones. I might have to go back and order a couple of the other shapes later!

Long Time Gone

I've had sooo many things that I wanted  to and meant to tell everyone about and then for some reason my watch gobbled up all my time and forgot to warn me that it was moving at warped speed. Where does time go? I remember when I was younger and I felt like it too forever for Christmas to come, and the 6 months in between that and my birthday was almost too much to handle. Now its been almost two months since my birthday and I still feel like my birthday was yesterday.

I'll do better! Starting now! This is my kitty, you've seen him before. But I love this photo of him. Its dying for a good caption. He was looking super cute and gazing at me with his big green eyes and then I pushed the button on the camera and this is what I got! He's yawning/noise making but not roaring although it does look like he's giving shit to something. And he is standing in a mess of his making from when he cleared himself a place to sleep. I guess I have to love him anyway just because he's too cute!

One Flower Wednesday Part 2

Yesterday I was at the dentist and there was this great picture that my dentist's partner (the other dentist who works in the building, not life partner) took. It was a great shot of this beach with a palm tree and a rainbow. It inspired me to finish one of each of the solid colored flowers for my quilt for my One Flower Wednesday posting today.
So I did manage to get one of each color completed for my post today. I had all these great ideas about taking a photo of them on the grass (which I freshly mowed yesterday) under the bright sunlight. And then the day got in the way. It was Tim Horton's Camp day, so I went there a few times to get coffee and help them raise money to send kids to Camp. And I played with my beasty boy, see part one for photos. And I went to Chapters to see if they had any good books on EPP. They didn't have a single book! Like WTF? A whole row for knitting, another for crochet and very very little for hand stitching. Disappointed I was. (If anyone knows any good books please comment and let me know. I would love to get one or two.)
Although my biggest distraction was The Big C on Netflix, I was trying to not watch the show because it seemed like one I would really get emotionally involved in. I should have followed my gut. What an amazing show!

Soft Kitty

I stitched this pillow case set a little while ago now. And today as I worked out adding things to my side bars I saw this guy on my Etsy Page and thought that I would share him with you and maybe my Instagram (which I just started today) sherry_bscrafts if you'd like to follow me.
