Long Time Gone!

A million and two "Sorrys"!!! I didn't realize that so much time was going by! A lot has been happen. Some I can't share just yet but some I can.

I've been working on a Fence Rail Blanket for *LB*'s birthday gift. I have until the end of June to get it finished!!! So far so good! I have two more squares to finish embroidering (well really 1.5 but if I say two and tell you I finished them I feel like I've gotten farther along than I have) which isn't too bad considering its a super secret and so far I don't think he has any idea its coming!!! I've got all my top quilt blocks assembled and they are in rows so hopefully after I finish the corner blocks I can finish the quilt top today.

I've also been working on a top secret project which I can't say anything about yet. But soon I promise I will spill and include pictures!

The other thing that has taken a large portion of my time lately and is the really exciting news... *LB* and I got engaged!!! It happened in May and we are getting married on our 11th anniversary on October 25, 2013. We're getting married in Las Vegas so it should be a super good time. And with a family like mine I'm sure it will be the best day and weekend ever! My unofficial Official wedding planner is a super giant amazing help! I hope she knows that too :) So I'll have to dust off my air miles cards because between now and then I have a lot of traveling to do. This month I'll be heading to Calgary to go Dress shopping! After that in July we are heading to Washington DC to see the Dodgers play the Nationals! Super pumped for that and all the museums there! In August we are most likely having our Wedding Social (Which one of my amazing friends is planning for us!!!BIG BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU FOR THAT), then rumor has it in September I'm going to Vegas for a conference (I don't have the official word on that yet). Then wedding in October!!

Now off to work on his blanket I shall go!!! I'll add pictures later!

Back To Blogging!

Hi! Sorry I haven't forgotten about you guys! I just didn't have a whole lot of stuff to report to you! But I'm going to spend the next two days working on that! I have a few projects that I REALLY need to get done!

1. One is a set of pillowcases for my brother and his new wife! They're going to be wonderful and hopefully loved! 
2. The second pillowcase for my step mom  Its a travel pillowcase. And it only involves two colors. I should be able to bang that out without too much problem.
3. Sort out my sewing space again! I love my record player but I HATE it when it sits infront of my sewing desk.
4. Shattered Hooters needs to be FINISHED! 
5. I'd like to do some more work on one of my two blankets!! *fingers crossed* (this one might just be me living in a fantasy world!)

I'm trying something different today! Today I am going to blog first thing in the morning and say all the things that I want to do and then I'll check in  through out the day and see how they are going! And post pictures of what I do. If any of it is picture worthy!

Plan something for dinner (done, chicken caesar salad and garlic toast)
Rainbow Pillowcase 2.0
Cut all Purple pieces for quilt
Look into getting new rotary cutting mat (self healing mat?) (got it and a new longer ruler)
Costco Shopping (done)
Kijiji Listings (done)
Work

Alright I've got my list. Now lets see if I can make magic happen!

Blogtoberfest! Starts

Being relatively new to Blogging I had no idea that there was so many things that happened between blogs. My step sister, The Purple Quiltapotamus, said that she was going to do Blogtoberfest. And I just happen to have a new project to start that could use a little motivation so I thought that I would join. See if I'm up for I Saw You Dancing's challenge! Challenge Accepted! 

New Project!

My friend is having a baby in December. It will be her third baby and Three is going to be the first girl. Poor thing with two older brothers. I wish her the best already. And I decided that I wanted to learn to quilt. (Please feel free to give advice! I look forward to it!) So I went to the book store Chapters yesterday. After getting a Latte and a snack I made my way to the crafting section and lucked out because the quilting was at floor level! I planted myself on  the floor and started pulling books! After about an hour I finally decided on one book! By Boo Davis!

Then I came home and flipped through checking out all the pictures and fought long and hard between the skull and the owl. This time the owl won out. After making notes to make the size adjustments (in my newly appointed stitching notebook, not in my book, don't be silly) I consulted a few people and the choice was clear. I'll keep the brown and change the green and blue to pink and purple! So a quick trip to the fabric store and raiding my previous fabric stash I'm ready to begin!

One Flower Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!

My flower is pretty plain today. It's just grey. I would like to put the grey as a border around all the color that's happening. However this one ended up
being a lot smaller than the other flowers in my case. I guess it's one of the problems with cutting my own hexagon and not cutting enough in the beginning. I didn't really like stitching this fabric either. So it's not decided yet but I think I may try a different grey fabric.

Progress

My plans for Friday fell a bit short. However I did get some house cleaning done and I've been working on my Jake and The Neverland Pirates the last couple days. I only have one character to go. Izzy and then I'll be adding a name. Then it will be good to go to its new home. Then on to the house warming gift for a friend and hopefully the last two baby gifts will be done on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then I'll be off and running with my list for the craft sale.

Today's plan!

At some point I will be going out for coffee. I also want to finish my pillow case for a coworkers daughter with the Neverland Pirates. Hopefully that's not too much. Because I would also like to get a bunch of housework done and maybe start on a project for a friend who is moving August first! Wish me

Promises of a New Day

So the last two days at work have been rather busy. So I haven't done much when I got home. Today I spent the evening watching TV cuddled on my couch with the BF.
Tomorrow is something exciting though... Tomorrow is the start of my weekend off! That means I have Saturday, sunday, and Monday to do my thing! Tomorrow is a 5 mile run. That shouldn't be too bad. Then I am going to start my new quilt. And I'd like to finish Izzy on my Jake And The Neverland Pirates pillow case! I'll keep you updated!
